Preparations, stories, and happenings.
Preparations, stories, and happenings.
First stop: Heber
Wednesday Night-
Part 1: Getting Ready
After saying goodbye to some folks we headed home to load up the truck and finish everything up. It took about two hours. Two hours of sweat and utter exhaustion. It was pretty fun.
Part 2: The Funner Stuff
On the road we saw Brandy. I, unfortunately, didn't take a picture of Brandy, but I'll tell you about her.
Brandy was a cow. A bored cow. We saw her in the middle of her lane and we were a bit surprised. She was staring into the west.
She looked so...bored. Then, that got me on to talking about how boring a cow's life must be. They don't really do much, huh? Not really.

On the way up to Heber, we talked about how many memories can be brought up just by hearing a song or smelling something specific.
For instance, when I smell orange flavor I think of the first time I flew on a plane. My mom had orange flavored gum and I always remember it now.
Anyway, we talked about that for a bit and it was nice. Leah, myself, and Amy (Leah's mom) all sat up front in the truck.
RaeLynn, Rhesa, Levi (Leah's siblings), and a bunch of stuff: in the back.
It was a long ride. Well, it felt like it anyway. My backside, along with the others', went numb a few times.
You can laugh.
Part 3: Arriving At The Trailer
We finally pulled into our temporary home (a trailer down the road from Leah's new house) at one in the morning. Needless to say, we were tired. We decided to forget about the stuff in the truck and head to the beds.
Sleep was nice.

Boring parts over, now it's time for more funner (I do realize that funner is not, technically, a word) stuff.
Yesterday--Thursday--we moved from the aforementioned trailer to the Martins' new home. Their big new home.
It's pretty much awesome.
What wasn't awesome, was moving everything.
Or cleaning everything. That. Was. Lame.

Part 4: How Awesome It Is
Heber is pretty great, minus the fact it stole my best friend (kidding).
It was actually cool enough last night to wear a sweater. Or need to.
We saw animals too. These animals did NOT scare us and we did NOT run away from and they were NOT harmless creatures.
I'm not saying what they were.
Anyway, in a way Heber kinda reminds me of home. Virginia Beach. Not the mountain or signs that say "Caution: Falling Rock"...definitely not that. Just the neighborly vibes and welcoming feeling.
It's nice.
